The Great Kindness Challenge/ VA Kindness Week
Every year in the winter Trantwood is thrilled to participate in the national event The Great Kindness Challenge or VA Kindness Week! It is a week where all students strive to show compassion through different activities. Each student receives a copy of of a checklist of kind acts to do for others, and school-wide initiatives such as makerspaces in the library, videos on the morning announcements, support our building a culture of kindness here at Trantwood. Anti-Bullying Classroom Life Skills Lessons
Throughout the school year, Trantwood students are taught life skills lessons on respecting differences, how to be an "Upstander" if they witness bullying and report it to an adult, and how to be a good digital citizen online and on social media.
